Rita Bowling, 63

Rita Bowling, 63, formerly of Mt. Sterling, died Thursday, April 24, 2025, in Charlotte, N.C. 

Born Sept. 5, 1961, in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, she was the daughter of Hubert and Betty Lou Orender Bowling.  She was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University who loved spending time with treasured friends and loving family, travel, fashion and her beloved cats.  She was a long time and devoted University of Kentucky basketball fan. 

Left to mourn her loss is her loving mother, Betty Lou; devoted sister, Arleen Vice; treasured niece, Nikki Williams (Joby) of Lexington; and nephews, Aaron Vice of Lexington and Will Vice (Nicole) of Lexington; great-nephew, Carter Williams; and great-niece, Ava Kate Vice. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert.

Celebration of life was conducted Sunday, May 4 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Ware officiating.
